Ply the depths of the night sky with this versatile observing and imaging system. The large-aperture 190mm Mak-Newt optics provide tremendous resolution in a fast f/5.3 design, for fields as wide as they are flat and coma free. The Pyrex primary mirror and BK7 meniscus lens ensure pinpoint stars across the entire field, whether you're viewing with the included 2" 32mm Q70 or 1.25" 10mm HighLight Plossl eyepieces, or imaging with a CCD or DSLR camera. With this versatile setup you can observe some choice Messiers one night, and capture exquisite images of them the next. The Atlas EQ-G GoTo mount finds objects quickly, tracks them with high precision, and provides solid support with easy portability. Internal DC stepper motors offer nine slew rates ranging from 2x to 800x sidereal and three tracking rates: sidereal, lunar, and solar. With the GoTo controller, select from 42,900 objects and command the mount to automatically pinpoint them. Backlash compensation and programmable PEC provide the responsiveness for guiding and great tracking accuracy. There's also a jack for a CCD autoguider. An illuminated polar-axis scope comes standard. The GoTo hand controller firmware is internet updateable. Mount operation requires an external 12-volt DC power source or AC-to-DC wall adapter.
