The VMC260L features a large 260mm aperture, yet is compact and light weight, weighing in at just 22 lbs. The catadioptric optical design features two element corrector lens in front of the secondary mirror. Aberrations from the spherical mirrors are corrected perfectly. The focusing systems is accomplished by primary mirror movement. The VMC260L provides sharp, high contrast images. The SPHINX SXD incorporates one piece hardened steel RA and DEC shafts with needle bearing throughout, the new SPHINX D can handle a load capacity up to 50 lbs. The SPHINX D comes complete with PEC and the incredibly accurate SX Polar Finder Scope.
