Works
Installed it in my PowerMac Quicksilver G4 Dual 1GHz. First thing I noticed is that it is the first PCI card I've ever installed into this Mac that actually fit exactly (!). Usually (in fact, always until now) after plugging in the card, when tightening down the screw, the card lifts up a bit from the rear. Not htis one. Plugged it in and the screw-plate interfaced directly with the Mac's mounting hole. Amazing! I had actually decided (I've owned this Mac for many years) that cards were supposed to not fit exactly...
Anyway, in it went, and it works perfectly.
HORRIBLE
ordered two of these cards. both were junk.
first one came from amazon and i installed it into my computer running vista ultimate 64. the computer blue screened and crashed before even getting into windows. took it out sent it back to amazon and computer was fine.
second one came in from amazon, i could boot up into my computer and the card worked fine but it slowed my computer down to a crawl and sometimes it couldnt even detect its harddrive to boot! i thought my harddrive was trying to give up its ghost!
lacie is a reputable company. but this particular product is bullocks. maybe youll have better luck. koodles to amazon for having an awesome return policy though! this card gets the fewest stars possible for wasting my time twice.
Great Design
Card does what I expected, fits great on my XFX 8200 motherboard, replaced a cheaper version SYBA because when I went cheap, the connectors would wiggle the slightest bit and the connection would be broke, not the case here... this is all thumbs up! Works well in Windows 7 Beta
