Victor Moore's long career comprised over 21 Broadway shows and 58 films, beginning on the vaudeville stage in 1893. Moore remains best known for his comic portrayals of timid bumblers his last role ever was a bit part as a nervous plumber in The Seven Year Itch but his dramatic performance in Make Way for Tomorrow attracted equal critical praise. Edward Steichen's photograph of Moore, wearing a top hat, appeared in the November 1933 Vanity Fair.
