Meanwhile her girlfriend is afraid the police are looking for her because of her boyfriend's criminal activities. They talk to a female lawyer, who turns out to be the lover's new lover, and everyone's path keeps crossing each other's in a very complicated and confusing manner.

Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown
I am so glad this movie was finally released in DVD format
for U.S. audiences. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
I first saw it about 10 years ago and became an instant Pedro
Almodovar and Carmen Maura fan. Carmen Maura is at the top
of her game. She is such a great comedic actress. This
movie is so funny, clever, witty, the writing is so good.
You also see a young Antonio Banderas and an excellent cast.
I can't stress enough how entertaining this movie is. You also
see parts of Madrid, Spain which brought back memories for me
of my trip there. I have been monitoring this movie's DVD release
for U.S. audiences and FINALLY the day has come. It is my pleasure
to say you will throughly enjoy this movie. It is so good.
And sure enough I just ordered my copy. Another Almodovar
favorite of mine is HIGH HEELS. So funny, witty, entertaining.
Can't wait for that one to also be released. Both are favorites.
