Live and freshly cut Christmas trees and decorations can be aromatic and cheerful additions to your home during the holidays. Yet national fire protection organizations recommend special consideration and appropriate precautions to avoid fires. Beyond keeping trees watered and carefully arranging items on and around trees, wreaths, and garlands, applying a fire retardant like the No-Burn Christmas Tree Fire Gard can help ensure that your holidays will be safe.
Easy to Apply and Highly Effective
Specially formulated to safeguard against accidental holiday fires, No-Burn Christmas Tree Fire Gard is easy to apply in a ready-to-use quart-sized container. It's also very effective. In fact, it's so effective that after the tragic Station Nightclub Fire, Rhode Island officials mandated the use of the No-Burn Christmas Tree Fire Gard on the State House's holiday tree.
To help protect your own home, simply spray No-Burn Christmas Tree Fire Gard on live trees and other seasonal items--one 32-ounce bottle covers a tree approximately eight feet in height. Once the tree takes on a light, frosty appearance when dry, it's fire resistant.
For a more thorough application, after you've sprayed the entire tree, place the remaining product in the tree stand with water.
Safe, Non-Toxic Formula
The No-Burn Christmas Tree Fire Gard has a non-toxic formula and a pleasing green apple scent. It is safe for children and pets, and will not discolor or brown needles. It also won't affect needle retention, so you don't have to worry about it shortening the lifespan of your tree.

First Year for Real Tree
We finally chose to get a real Christmas tree this year! About three weeks ago we purchased a fresh-cut Fir from a local grower here in Ohio and we couldn't be more pleased with the aroma and how easy it was to set-up. Prior to the set-up of our tree, we treated it with No-Burn Christmas Tree Fire Gard following the directions on the bottle and applied it outdoors on our back patio. We let the tree remain outside for about an hour and then brought it inside, and we were pleasantly surprised that the tree looked more like a Blue Spruce than a Fir because the treatment had left a frosty coat on the needles. Upon treating our 7.5 foot tree, as directed, the remaining product was put into the tree stand with water.
Having purchased the product from another source and with it being so close to Christmas, we're very satisfied with the results and have chosen to purchase a bottle from Amazon for my sister and her family.
We're glad we purchased a real tree and that No-Burn's spray was available to us this year for Christmas.
Peace of Mind
I have used this product for the past 3 years with no problems what-so-ever. It was a pleasure to find it available from Amazon this year. Following the directions on the bottle, I found that my tree didn't lose any more needles than normal. The workers where I bought my tree highly stressed keeping the tree well-watered to avoid dryness and keep the tree alive through the holiday. I have since done research online, and I found that cut trees bought retail have been cut at least 5 - 6 weeks prior. To me, this proves need for proper fire protection and hydration. This product not only works well, but it brings peace of mind to our family.
I would recommend and do recommend this product to those I know with live trees.
Messy and It Killed Our Beautiful Tree!
My husband purchased No-Burn thinking we would be extra cautious this year since we always get a real Christmas tree and it sits in the same room as our wood pellet stove. We buy the same variety of tree from the same Christmas tree farm every year. It was a beautiful, freshly cut tree the day it came into the house. We immediately trimmed the trunk and set it in the stand with lots of water. The following day, my husband sprayed the tree with No-Burn as directed and as directed put what was left of the liquid into the tree stand. Within 2 days the water in the reservoir, even after being refilled the following day, was completely dried up. the needles came off with a touch of a finger and fell to the floor. It was mess. My husband shook all the loose needles off, recut the trunk, changed out the water and stood the tree back up, hoping to save the tree, but we couldn't.
We're convinced that No-Burn killed our beautiful tree. We will never use that product again. We now have a new tree, but unfortunately the tree farm that we always go to is closed for the season so we had to buy a pre-cut tree.
The product also left a white residue all over the tree and anything else in the living room that the solution came in contact with.
