Excellent concert and camera work. Rock's best modern live act must be seen to be fully appeciated. Dave Matthews and Boyd Tinsley really cook together. The edge goes to the DVD.

The lightweight rock 90's trend setter can be listened to at any hour of the day. Outstanding guitar work from start to finish. The winner - CD.

The live concert with the Egyptian Ensemble plus innovative, outdoor skits - "Yallah" paint a good picture. I like both, but I'll take DVD.

Grunge before its time. It's Neil's best live from a hit perspective thru the late 70's. For one song I love watching "Cowgirl In The Sand" on the "Red Rocks" DVD with all that rain and thunder.

Elvis best musically on film. He plays lead guitar on the last half of the set. The skits and unplugged before it's time is Presley essential. The DVD by a landside.

Watching one of the greatest bass players - Jaco Pastorius and guitarman - Pat Metheny work with in my book, the female artist of the century is great viewing.

Daltry's mike getting tossed in the air; Townshend's windmill guitar showmanship and Keith Moon's funny antics on drums is pure rock entertainment. For the average fan - the DVD.

The Dead's best live work on film this side of "Pigpen" at the "Festival Express". The Deadhead fans comments mixed in with the concert gives the DVD the edge.

The ladies return to their 70's sound in a solid performance. It's a made for DVD concert. New songs like "Heaven" would have fit right in on the "Bebe Le Strange" album.

Dylan in sunglasses with a "____ Kicking" band put on a show to be seen. Nice rearranged numbers. The dark setting looks like a cross between an abandoned mine and old barn.

Watching Stevie's pure emotion in two diiferent concerts plus the booing audience makes for interesting viewing. Johnny Copeland picks up the steam on the second portion.

The CD version has more songs, so the choice is easy. This collection is based mainly from their MTV era.

Vintage clips of The Spiders From Mars at the Old Grey Whistle make this essential Bowie. Total length is over 4 hours.

Reggae produced for rock listeners is a safe introduction to Bob Marley. For more of his revolutionary songs look elsewhere like "Gold" or "Natural Mystic".

CD...The 1970's underrated band had 4 Star albums or better thru "Extraterrestrial Live". ( except "Mirrors ).
