Only a couple of episodes actually dealt with overtly gay themes, but the brothers Crane were devout metrosexuals before the term existed.

My favorite line from Season One says it all: "There are gay vampire witches running a sex club on the island!" Campy, trashy, badly written, and SO much fun! My personal favorite is former porn daddy Colton Ford as the town sheriff. Lock me up!

Alan Ball (Six Feet Under) has done it again, this time exploring the world of vampires coming out of the coffin and trying to integrate as out and proud members of society. Amongst an excellent cast, Nelsan Ellis is a standout playing entrepreneurial, larger-than-life gay fry cook Lafayette.

This show has helped a good portion of the television audience see how the reality of gay men is nowhere near as threatening as the demonized vision fed to them by society.
