To Hell and Back: Best of Hellraiser

The Hellbound HeartThe Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker
Buy new: $6.99 / Used from: $0.01
You cannot beat the original, and this is it. Before the movies, before the comics, there was this novella by Clive Barker. A wonderfully crafted piece of literature.
HellraiserHellraiser
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $3.69
This, the original movie, stayed pretty close to the novella. It is a wonderful representation of the story, as well as a perfect horror film.
Hellbound: Hellraiser 2Hellbound: Hellraiser 2
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $6.17
This one is just another typical gore-fest, a detriment common to sequels to good movies. It does manage to maintain much of the original's aura while still adding to the mythos.
Hellraiser VI - HellseekerHellraiser VI - Hellseeker
Buy new: $7.49 / Used from: $3.70
Spell-binding and imaginative, this film lacks in overall Cenobite participation, but more than makes up for it with an intense story and brilliant dialogue between Pinhead and the main characters.
Hellraiser - InfernoHellraiser - Inferno
Buy new: $11.49 / Used from: $4.99
Considered the bastard child of the series for a time, it is the first sequel to come close to recreating the atmosphere and themes of the first film. Pinhead's final speech is flawless.
Hellraiser - BloodlineHellraiser - Bloodline
Buy new: $7.49 / Used from: $3.54
This one continues the whole "Cenobites Bad" theme from the third film, which is horrible. This one at least gives you the origin of the box, which is cool.
Hellraiser 3 - Hell on Earth [IMPORT]Hellraiser 3 - Hell on Earth [IMPORT]
Pinhead becomes a baddie, which is wrong for the plot and the character. The Create-A-Cenobite ending is unwatchable. I don't know what people see in this one aside from some good lines from Pinhead.
Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Collected Best, Vol. 1Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Collected Best, Vol. 1 by Murray
Buy new: $15.61 / Used from: $8.98
I am only putting this one at the bottom because it is an honorable mention. The comics are an excellent way to get your Hell-fixes while still maintaining decent plot. Some stories are perfect.
