The first of Tony Hillerman's Navajo mysteries, beautifully recreated by PBS as an "American Mystery!" series. There are new movies that have not been released on dvd yet. Not very true to the book.

Bizarre and absurdly French 70s mystery movie with Phillipe Noiret. The mystery is very thin but role reversal of the leads is fun. Sequel Jupiter's thigh follows pair on Greek honeymoon. Very silly.

First two series are only available on VHS.

The series that launched the career of the very hot Clive Owen as a Brit policeman concealing the fact he is slowly going blind.

Helen Baxendale (Emily on Friends) is excellent as P.D. James' Cornelia Gray, a secretary who tries to become a PI after her boss's suicide.

Africa provides a fascinating setting for this BBC police series.

Campy 70s series with Roger Moore.

Roger moore as Leslie Charteris' immortal creation. Nothing like the books but Moore's suave interpretation of the character is a better Bond than his actual Bond.

Raymond Burr returns to the role of the best lawyer of all time (losing only one case and on purpose) from the excellent noir-ish 50s adaption of Erle Stanley Gardner's incredible phenomenom. Original

Season 3 is as good as the previous ones. Wish I could say the same about the spinoff series, CSI Miami, which is merely watchable.

A wonderful, moody and dry series. Very gloomy. Do not watch while depressed!

A very popular series starring Helen Mirren as a police superintendent showing the men how it's done. Not my cup of tea but everyone else likes it.
