EarthquakeEarthquake

The most famous earthquake film. made in 1974, Sensurround is what made this film; it has okay acting, and only mediocer effects, but the plot is on shaky ground, yet it is still worth watching.

The Great Los Angeles EarthquakeThe Great Los Angeles Earthquake

A very well done TV movie about The Big One hitting LA and Joanna Kerns (from Growing Pains) is trying to warn the city & state of the impending disaster, much better than any TV movie I've ever seen.

Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $1.92
The NBC miniseries about the whole West Coast being shaken by massive earthquakes and nearly getting knocked off the map; it was pretty dull and poorly acted out, the fx were ok. (Stop shaking the freakin' camera!)
Krakatoa, East of JavaKrakatoa, East of Java
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $3.97
Finally Available again! This film is really just a 1960's "effects film" as the special fx are the real star of it; the plot is rather stupid, the acting is ok, but if you're not a die hard fan of such films, it may not hold you.
Death Quake [VHS]Death Quake [VHS]

A dubbed Japanese film made in 1975 (or 1980) following in the footsteps of and surely surpassing the 1974 "Earthquake."
Aftershock: Earthquake in New YorkAftershock: Earthquake in New York
Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $3.10
A really well done TV movie, not to be confused w/ the British film, "Earthquake In New York." It features good effects, but not many building collapses, and the acting is very good at parts.

Another B-grade disaster flick centered in LA, this one is about a company trying to find a new energy source, but it ends up causing a bunch of earthquakes (the fx are actually pretty decent, though) and a peacefull environmentalist group protests and the company sends out an elderly hitman to despose of them I don't remember how ther hero figures into it though...
ShakedownShakedown
Buy used from: $0.30

St. HelensSt. Helens

A TV movie about the eruption of Mt. St. Helens; it is a horrible attempt at movie making! The story is dull and pointless (although some of it was based on real events) and the fx, some of the worst!
