A perfect film - and a great introduction to Egoyan's recurring themes. A puzzle-box of a film filled with characters who have great difficulty making social connections.

In my mind, Egoyan's first great film. Definitely off the beaten track. I rank it just slightly higher the "Sweet Hereafter" due to its originality.

The one that got him all the recognition. He could have gone Hollywood after this one. Although based on a book, Egoyan still leaves a very personal mark on the material. Truly heartwrenching.

An experiment in form. I'm probably rating this higher than most. Still, it works for me. A man has taped his marriage falling apart.

A tough mix. Egoyan continues to use his emotional distancing technique to the Armenian genocide. Not an expected mix, and possibly a bit of a failure. Still, it is fascinating.

Continuing on a theme that technology actually pulls people apart rather than making them closer. One storyline has a woman who speaks to her lover over video-conferencing equipment.

Might be one of the creepiest serial killer characters I've seen - not scary but truly creepy. I feel this is a good movie, but Egoyan's others are better and more interesting. Hoskins though is great
