Hooper's lesser-known follow-up to "'Chainsaw" has the same raw, over-the-top feel as that film, but seems less inspired with too many characters and an overly complicated "plot" that seems to go nowhere.

This 1999 tv movie is almost more of a comedy than a horror film. It also features a bizarrely eclectic cast including Tyra Banks, R. Lee Ermey (the Sheriff from the "Texas Chainsaw" remake and its prequel), Amanda Plummer (Pulp Fiction) and Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld).

A very-watchable B-movie that marked Hooper's first collaboration with writers Jace Anderson and Adam Gierasch, who would go on to write Hooper's next two films as well.

Tobe's latest is an effective, if somewhat uneven, B-movie. Not as good as 'Toolbox,' but undoubtedly better than all the other direct-to-video horror out lately.

His second "'Masters" season entry, "The Damned Thing" is coming to DVD Oct. 16! Tobe's next project will be an adaptation of the Stephen King novel "From a Buick 8."
