By far, the best re-telling of POTO i've ever encountered. This book explores the Phantom's psyche with intense intimacy. Evey Phan needs this one!

Another Sherlock Holmes meets the Phantom tale, but The Angel of the Opera has a much better storyline. However, this one is a much easier find in bookstores and online. Not a waste of money for the collector.

Written by a 17-year-old, this Pahnfic isn't bad. Christine leaves Raoul for the Phantom- who totally turns his life around and becomes a good Catholic. Two things that bothered me: Raoul and Erik seem to exchange personalities and the author uses certain expressions that are not accurate to the time period. But this is a good one for your Phantom collection.

Hilarious parody of opera and The Phantom that had me laughing out loud!

A washed-up drunk actor is preparing to play the Phantom when bizarre stuff starts happening to him in this book that makes absolutely no sense.

Packed with great info on the Paris Opera house, the original novel, all the old films, and Lloyd Webber's play.

The Lon Chaney 1925 version concentrates more on the "horror/melodrama" aspect of Phantom. Lon Chaney was an amazing and expressive actor and his visage as Erik is an icon of the silent era.

Made for tv, it took me multiple viewings to appreicate it beacuse it's so different from any other POTO and messes with the story in some odd ways. But it grew on me.

The sickest most god-awful version out there. I couldn't even finish it and threw my copy in the trash. This movie if just an excuse for gore that has nothing to do with the plot.

Really disgusting version. Robert Englund plays the Phantom, but his Opera House seems to be located on Elm Street! A true nightmare for serious Phans.

Spectacular! Michael Crawford is amazing and Sarah Brightman...well...she improves with age. I do like her, but I get to thinking that being ALW's wife had more to do with this casting than anything.

Colm Wilkinson does an amazing job as The Phantom, (once you can stop thinking of him as Jean Valjean) and I admire his interpretaion of the role. Rebecca Caine is magnificent as Christine.

Soundtrack to the best film version thus far. Incredible music, and though many critics don't like the voice of Gerard Butler, they can't fault his outstanding emotional interpretation.

Richard White sings The Phantom in this odd version. I remember Richard White as the villain Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, so I was waiting for him to sing "I use antlers in all of my decorating!"

If you're 7 or 8 years old, you may like this. The Bailey School Kids meet a surly violinist named Erik whom they believe is the Phantom of the Opera. Cute, good way to acquaint a kid with the Phantom

Whimsical children's book, in which all the characters are cats. I think this author has his Lloyd Webber plays confused!
