This is the experimental, with the emphasis on mental, powerhouse YES that takes you on a trip. Driving instrumentation that gets stuck in your head. Extra "Gates" is really fun, may I have ten more!

I wish it was twice as long so I could hear another expanse of musical genius! The overtly spiritual material here is barrier to some - I really love this! Meditate on it...amazing!

My wife hates the high-pitch manic intensity of Going for the One (the song)...I love it, lyrically interesting and Howe (and the band) is on fire! . Awaken is amazing! Extra tracks are really great!

This was a recent surprise! I'm 8 years late to the party but the live concert disk has excellent versions and the new material is very strong - great buy and nice gift from the band (like gold )!

New material 2 years after Keys (1999) and just as good...messages to take you higher (this band IS spiritually based - all members, not just Jon...I find it inspiring, some can't take it).

A charming and beautiful debut, I like it alot (more now than I did as a teen in the 70's) - bristles with anticipation and energy.

I'm still absorbing this varied material, but much of the old magic is still present throughout ... seeing some of them live on later dvds helps with the appreciation. I'm pleased that they are still working so well together.

This was the final holdout in my studio collection (that I wasn't sure I would even get). Glad I did - it rocks pretty well in spots and sounds good turned up (I do feel that Magnification and The Ladder are better though if you are curious how I come down on the issue)!

Just got this on cd (about a year ago), but have heard it many times in the past. Very Interesting...sometimes sounds like the Dregs! Has that Rabin rock guitar that's fun sometimes...unique album!

Again, this era of YES is catchy and professional. Just got Symphonic YES - pleasant but disappointing, and nothing near as great as Yes Symphonic - CONFUSED?

If you like your early live YES with the "Topographic" & "Relayer" material (I sure do), this is a pretty great concert... just too short. Only 1 song from Tormato which really was a disappointment and it should have been longer!

This rocks, they do a great job and the sound quality is very fine for live. This should help you appreciate The Ladder album and many great oldies jammed out. Get the Dvd at least if you don't want the cd - FUN CONCERT!

Another wonderful taste of the first 2 albums with the full-length version of America (Howe burns it up). All you need with BBC below perhaps for the early period? Might want to get first 2 YES albums anyway, they are very good!

This is a very good single disk intro to Yes for newbies, of course I might have altered it a bit but you know how that goes.

Pre-snowboarding energy boost (keep in my car)! Broadly appealling for a compilation. Excellent book included with great chart. This could be the basic one stop shop for many of you. Great compilation choice for the prime, well known era!

Can't go wrong here really, but true fans will see the many great things missing - even with five cds it isn't even close to comprehensive with the best material ... get all the main albums instead if you feel this motivated! Seriously (the materials included could be a reason to collect this)!

As I said above. THIS IS FANTASTIC, did I mention that the Keys to Ascension dvd is like gold to true Yes fans (read my review - the song selection is stellar) and even the attempt at psychedelic visuals is fun if your in the right MOOD.

This great newer release from Steve is fantastic! His son helps out on percussion, which makes it even more great to me (the same little guy Steve is holding on Beginnings). CHECK OUT REMEDY LIVE DVD

(Very YES like) Powerful, melodic bass we all know and love and great song-writing in general. Fun for YES fans! All three of these solo efforts could go near the top of this list...
