	Tarzan of the Apes (Silent) (B&W) [VHS] Buy used from: $2.50 Granddaddy of Tarzan films, with stocky Elmo Lincoln in lead; attempts fidelity to Burroughs' vision; despite spotty camerawork, a remarkable film achievement and a MUST for collectors!
	Tarzan the Tiger [VHS] Buy used from: $5.95 Last 'Silent' Tarzan (music tracks were recorded) featured hunky Frank Merrill as Ape Man, and incredibly sexy Natalie Kingston as Jane; amazing acrobatics through trees, famous Kingston nude swim!
	Tarzan (1943) [VHS] Buy used from: $2.77 First sound MGM feature with Olympian Weissmuller; used 'Trader Horn' stock footage, but wildly entertaining, and, in Maureen O'Sullivan's Jane, LOTS of pre-Production Code sex appeal! A HUGE hit!
	Tarzan the Fearless (B&W) [VHS] Buy used from: $2.99 Another Olympian, Buster Crabbe (pre-Flash Gordon) played Tarzan in serial; feature puts chapters together! Lacks MGM production values, but Crabbe is better actor than Weissmuller! Lots of action!
	Tarzan and His Mate [VHS] Buy used from: $5.35 Greatest MGM Tarzan film; according to O'Sullivan, she was originally to be TOPLESS through film! Famous nude swim, and VERY abbreviated costumes! Oh, yeah, great STORY, too! A CLASSIC!
	The New Adventures of Tarzan [VHS] Buy used from: $7.36 Burroughs wanted to produce HIS version of Tarzan, with ANOTHER Olympian, Herman Brix (Bruce Bennett), in lead; smart, sophisticated Tarzan, but budget does film in! Still, a cult favorite!
	Tarzan Escapes [VHS] Buy used from: $4.99 With Code in effect, leads dressed more modestly, sex was toned down, and ACTION became keyword; this was one of the BEST in the MGM series, after being 'refilmed' once!
	New Adventures of Tarzan [VHS] Buy used from: $3.32 Second Burroughs' approved film shows why Brix (later known as Bruce Bennett) is BEST Tarzan to many fans; a gifted actor, he rises above low-budget production values! Check it out!
	Tarzan Finds a Son [VHS] Buy used from: $2.99 'Boy' introduced, as orphan (Tarzan and Jane unmarried); Johnny Shefield terrific addition to family! Jane (actually pregnant during filming) 'dies', but preview pans led to ending change!
	Tarzan's Revenge [VHS] Buy used from: $4.79 Last of the competing Tarzan films, as Glenn Morris takes on role; poor production values, and Morris lacked Weissmuller's charisma or Brix' acting abilities! Quickly forgotten!
	Tarzan's Secret Treasure [VHS] Buy used from: $4.58 With other 'Tarzans' eliminated, MGM cut budget for this entry; much stock footage used! Barry Fitzgerald makes delightful comic relief; Boy has African playmate (an VERY advanced notion for time!)
	Tarzan's New York Adventure [VHS] Buy used from: $1.57 Last MGM Weissmuller film is one of best; believing Tarzan and Jane dead, corrupt promoter Bickford kidnaps Boy, takes him to NY; Tarzan, Jane, Cheeta follow them! Inspired 'Crocodile Dundee'! A MUST!
	The Tarzan Collection Starring Johnny Weissmuller (Tarzan the Ape Man / Escapes / and His Mate / Finds a Son / Secret Treasure / New York Adventure) Buy new: $44.99 / Used from: $24.99 Finally on DVD! All the Weissmuller MGM epics, on four discs (2 films per disc, with an 'Additional Features' disc). While documentary just so-so, Durante parody hilarious! ESSENTIAL for Tarzan fans!
	The Tarzan Collection Starring Johnny Weissmuller, Vol. 2 (Tarzan Triumphs / Tarzan's Desert Mystery / Tarzan and the Amazons / and the Leopard Woman / and the Huntress / and the Mermaids) Buy new: $29.99 / Used from: $24.16 After being dropped by MGM, Weissmuller and Sheffield moved to RKO, for six more adventures, NOW available on DVD! Two were excellent ("...Triumphs" and "...the Amazons"), one was good ("...Desert Mystery"), two were mediocre ("...the Leopard Woman" and "...the Huntress"), and one was surreal ("...and the Mermaids")...
	Tarzan and the Trappers [VHS] Buy used from: $1.08 After Weissmuller 'retired', and successor Lex Barker quit, ex-lifeguard Gordon Scott became Tarzan; this is one of last "Me, Tarzan" efforts, as Ape Man was about to get make-over!
	Tarzan, The Ape Man Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $3.98 Following Scott, Denny Miller, Mike Henry, Jock Mahoney, and TV's Ron Ely, Bo Derek sexed-up the formula in MAJOR misfire! Miles O'Keefe as silent Tarzan plays second-fiddle to oft-nude Bo, as Jane!
	Greystoke - The Legend of Tarzan Buy new: $5.79 / Used from: $4.25 Christopher Lambert is SUPERB in flavorful Burroughs-based origin story! BEST live-action retelling, with astonishing ape effects; all-star cast! CLASSIC!
	Tarzan in Manhattan Buy used from: $29.52 Five years after 'Greystoke', Joe Lara assumed role for TV-movie; mediocre, no 'New York Adventure'; but Lara may be the hunkiest Ape Man, yet!
	Tarzan: Sapphire Elephant [VHS] Buy used from: $11.84 Another Tarzan TV series featured blonde Wolf Larson as Ape Man; this film, culled from TV episodes, isn't great, but respects Burroughs' vision!
	Tarzan and the Lost City Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $1.73 Latest live-action Tarzan is closest in spirit to Burroughs' novels, but Van Dien is far too 'Yuppie' as Ape Man, and film lacks sense of adventure of books! Good FX, tho!
	Tarzan Buy used from: $5.92 Disney actually gets formula right, in this 'cleaned-up' version of origin! Oscar-winning song by Phil Collins ('Strangers Like Me'), astonishing animation, and respect for both the Ape Man and story!
	Tarzan & Jane Buy used from: $2.43 Bland Disney sequel to hit film really just episodes of cartoon series strung together; lacks original's state-of-the-art animation, and sense of fun! Not even Mandy Moore song can save THIS turkey!
