A very interesting view of Mozart as seen from his rival, Antonio Salieri. This is more accurate than other portrayels of Mozart in movies. Grade A

Having been a violinist myself I can tell you this classic is a real treat, with excellent music from beginning to end. It's the love story that drags! Grade A-

Cornel Wilde brought Frederic Chopin to life in this classic bio co-starring the lovely Merle Oberon. One of the best portrayels of a Classical composer ever made! Grade A+

What can I say? It's our favorite Fourth of July tradition! This masterpiece has finally gotten the proper dvd treatment! Grade A+

Awesome Big Band music & Jimmy Stewart's great acting make this a must-see classic! One of director Anthony Mann's best films. Grade A

The classic Big Band music is the best thing about this distorted view of the great Benny Goodman. It's well worth watching if you're a fan of great Jazz music. Grade B-

First-rate bio of country singer Loretta Lynn, with Sissy Spacek & Beverly D'Angelo proving that they can sing as well as act. Tommy Lee Jones was great also, but this film belongs to Spacek! Grade A+

Excellent bio of 50's rock star Ritchie Valens, with an awesome performance by Lou Diamond Phillips, a fine & underated actor. Grade A

I'm a big Gary Busey fan & this is one of his best performances. He did all his own singing & proved that he was indeed a dynamic actor. Grade A+

Kurt Russell was outstanding in this compelling portrait of "The King" that's unfortunately still not available on dvd. Grade A+
