The book was better, but this is a pretty good abbreviated storyline of Clancy's view of a world divided against itself.

Brainwashing becomes the key in this future world. For those of us old enough to remember, the movie launched a short-lived TV series back in the mid 1970s. Pokes fun at religion, although in a subtle sort of way.

Gotta head to the center of the planet to avoid its destruction.
