Arthur shines in this film as a tough reporter who weeds her way into the heart of a naive sudden millionaire to get a scoop, but she falls in love with him.

Although Arthur's greatest skills were comedic, she was effective opposite the great lover Charles Boyer (the model for Pepe le Peu) in this great romantic drama.

She excelled as part of a tremendous ensemble cast in this Frank Capra version of a Kaufmann and Hart play.
