Solid performance as Lou Gehrig. The right-handed Cooper was filmed with uniforms with reverse letters so the negatives could be reversed to produce a left-handed batter.

An outstanding Western with Burt Lancaster and Mr. Cooper.

Disappointing performance by Cooper opposite Audrey Hepburn. His health was bad and he looked far too old for the role. Still worth watching.
