Joachim Raff 1822-1882 ,Piano Concerto and The Ode to Spring for Piano and Orchestra , both works are Romantic Beauty , nearly in Perfection ! I think,- theses are the best romantic works for piano and orchestra you can find, Its absolutly wonderful, heavenly stuff ! Please read also my Coment to my review, witch has some mistakes, but i cannot correct it , or write more and new reviews

Chopin has dedicated his E minor Concerto to Friedrich Kalkbrenner 1785-1849 , his first concerto was written in the so called melodious elegant style in Paris, over long passages with restraint Orchestration, but therefore it has quite lyrical Piano playing, very beautiful stuff

A Nonet with Piano by Carl Czerny 1791-1857 , this is a very inspired Work and belongs to the best Works of this kind , - Piano with Ensemble ! As good as a Concerto with beautiful Melodies ! Also here is the possibility, that you will agree, that this are absolutely beautifull works very high !

Ignaz Moscheles 1794-1870 , with his 3rd Concerto , his best works, - quite melodic orchestrated is his 4th Concerto ,- as the CDs with Kalkbrenner and Henri Herz concertos , this are Works nearer to the early romantic Era,- they are not so pathetic and perhaps bombastic as most of the other Hyperion CDs , witch have mostly Works of the late romantic Era on it, -so this 3 CDs

Franz Xaver Scharwenka 1850-1924 ,more late romantic Works, but i like this, exspecelly his second Concerto has a final , witch brings a lot of Pleasure,- the only thing whats perhaps not worth 5 stars is the recording,- its recorded in 1997 , but therefor its quite good.

Ferdinand Hiller 1811-1885 , Theses Concertos have a brilliant Virtuosity,- but a think the lyrical Qualety of the Concertos are not as strong , as some of the Concertos by Kalkbrenner, Herz, Moscheles and Bache, witch the Pianist Howard Shelley has done for the Label Hyperion before.

Ferdinand Ries 1784-1838 , The Piano Concerto on this CD is very good, the 2 Works for Piano and Orchester are not quite as good,- I think for the Concerto alone, this is worth 5 Stars

Ignaz Moscheles 1794-1870 , his 3rd Concerto has a quite beautifull final, but all movements hear, have its good Moments,- he has also writen quite good Chamber Works for Piano Septet and Piano Sextet,- s. my other Lists

Carl Czerny 1791-1857 and Ferdinand Ries 1784-1837, the same Concerto as in early romantic concerto VoxBox in this List more down under in this List, the Cerny Concerto is worth a Listen, but no perfect recording

Clara Schumann 1819-1896 belonged to the few succesfull female composers, this concerto is recommanable , - the final stands an occasionnsally repeated listenning

a very good Chopin Interpretation, Chopin has dedicated his first Concerto to Friedrich Kalkbrenn , see the next CD

a Beethoven Contemporary , - if you like the late Mozart Piano Concertos and the first 2 Beethoven Concertos , than you will like This

Johann Nepomuk Hummel 1778-1837,still i think , this is perhaps the best CD with Hummel Concertos,- but Howard Shelly has recorded nearly all of the Hummel Concertos and the CD with the Concertino for Piano and Orchestra is nearly as good

all three concertos,

Carl Reinecke 1824-1910,--quite romantic concertos, but they have not the Melodic Deeps of the Concertos by Raff and Rheinberger

Dussek 1760-1812, its not very good recorded,
