The most remarkable songs by an eloquent, romantic lyricist and a favorite of Sinatra are highlighted in this CD, which is definitely worthy to any serious Sinatra collector. My top faves are "TIME AFTER TIME," "DAY BY DAY" and "ALL THE WAY." Thanks to a good friend/Amazon reviewer for this CD that is so much a great listening experience! And yes, "IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO" is lovely!

"ALL THE WAY" ... This is my newest favorite version from a fairly-new but very impressive jazz vocalist, Calabria Foti. She sings it like no other. For female vocals, she gets the trophy. (And for male vocals, it's still the one-and-only Frank Sinatra).

"THE SECOND TIME AROUND" (Cahn/Van Heusen) ... Gifted with rich voice and exceptional piano skills, Michael Feinstein's version makes this song a gem! He also gives "ALL THE WAY" a fresh approach that truly shows off his vocal artistry.

"TIME AFTER TIME" (Cahn/Styne) ... Chet Baker sings it cool.... "The Prince of Cool Jazz". The trumpet player who also sings.

"GUESS I'LL HANG MY TEARS OUT TO DRY" (Cahn/Styne) ... another beautiful version from one of the greatest interpreters of the Great American Songbook, John Pizzarelli.

"UNTIL THE REAL THING COMES ALONG" ... The Chairman's ingenious version is still one of the best ever.

"COME FLY WITH ME" and "IT'S NICE TO GO TRAV'LING" (Cahn/Van Heusen) ... Mr. Sinatra sings "It's very nice to go trav'ling to Paris, London and Rome. . . but it's so much nicer to come home!"

"TEACH ME TONIGHT" (Cahn/de Paul)(Classic Jazz version)... Ella singin' and swingin' with Count Basie and His Orchestra. A delightful listen!

"DAY BY DAY" (Cahn/Stordahl/Weston) ... Astrud Gilberto's beguiling bossa-nova style.

"ONLY TRUST YOUR HEART" and "GUESS I'LL HANG MY TEARS OUT TO DRY" ... Roberta Gambarini gives these two beautiful songs fresh-as-a-daisy and delicate-as-a-rose kind of interpretations. (Thanks Rick for this utterly charming Christmas present!)

"IT'S MAGIC" ... (Cahn/Styne) "You sigh, the song begins and I hear violins.... it's magic"... Mr. Cahn always had a way with words. Doris Day's impeccable singing makes this song a real magic!

"THE THINGS WE DID LAST SUMMER" and "SATURDAY NIGHT IS THE LONELIEST NIGHT OF THE WEEK" (Cahn/Styne) ... This CD is a treasure and contains some of Cahn's nicest songs. Mr. S at his utmost best!

"CALL ME IRRESPONSIBLE" (Cahn/Van Heusen) ... Listen to Frank Sinatra humming so soft and gentle! How lovely!

"CALL ME IRRESPONSIBLE" ... Listen to one of the best cabaret singers, Nancy LaMott, singing this Sammy Cahn gem with a new twist. A lovely listen.

"I SHOULD CARE" (Cahn/Stordahl/Weston) ... Listen to Barry Manilow singing this classic song.

"I'LL NEVER STOP LOVING YOU" (Cahn/Brodzsky)... from the movie "Love Me Or Leave Me" stars Doris Day. Cahn penned this song specifically for Doris to sing in this movie, with Percy Faith Orchestra.

"SAME OLD SATURDAY NIGHT" (Cahn/Reardon) ... Frank Sinatra is Sammy Cahn's favorite interpreter of his songs.
