My very favorite book as a child. I would dance around with my Christmas nutcracker, pretending to be Clara. I think I even slept with him!

The first book I ever read at four years old-it's what got me to respect animals and my environment.

I adore this book! It has witty and dark British humor so typical of Dahl-but he writes here with a special sensitivity. I was so obsessed with this book upon reading it that I memorized an entire chapter in a British accent and proudly performed it for my mother and sister, strutting around.

We read these for years-they were much beloved by me and my sister. We even watched the TV series.

I adored this entire series growing up! They really are unique-they follow a mysterious woman living in an upside-down house who uses odd methods to cure bad behaved children.

I LOVED this book as a girl! I read the whole series breathlessly-it was pretty cool, actually. Unicorns are awesome.

This is a wonderfully poignant and well-illustrated story about wanting things you already have. A classic.
