Hey you! Do you like the Postal Service or Death Cab for Cutie?

Give UpGive Up by The Postal Service
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $5.99
The Postal Service's only full-length album to date, and a really great release overall.
MP2MP2 by Ming & Ping
Buy used from: $14.50
(Same street, haha) They are probably the closest to The Postal Service of any group I've heard yet, though perhaps a bit more musically upbeat. Look them up in the MP3 downloads section and preview Causeway Army. I doubt you'll even need half of a 30 second preview to see why I'm raving like so.
Transportation + Communication = LoveTransportation + Communication = Love by Figurine
Buy new: $15.98 / Used from: $5.73
(Same county) Jimmy Tamborello (you know, that guy from the Postal Service that isn't Ben Gibbard...) heads this group and although he hasn't had quite the same level of popularity in his "side" projects as Ben Gibbard (Death Cab) has, he is definitely just as amazing.
TransatlanticismTransatlanticism by Death Cab for Cutie
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $7.64
(Same region) Yes, you knew this one was coming, but... it is the best of all the Death Cab for Cutie albums thus far if you ask me.
The UnderstandingThe Understanding by Röyksopp
Buy new: $17.98 / Used from: $5.99
(Same city) This is the strongest, most coherent, and most impressive of all of Royksopp's releases yet. Give "Circuit Breaker" a listen and the rhythmic clap-claps might remind you of something you'll be familiar with if you're versed in Postal Service techniques. :D
Different PlacesDifferent Places by Plastic Operator
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $9.91
(Same city) The friend of mine who told me this would be my new favorite band if I like the Postal Service actually wasn't too far off.
Nothing's LostNothing's Lost by Styrofoam
Buy used from: $3.73
(Same city) Guest stars Ben Gibbard of the Postal Service on "Couches in Alleys", great album overall. "Anything" is probably the best track.
Brazilian GirlsBrazilian Girls by Brazilian Girls
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $5.55
(Same state) The first, and probably the best, of Brazilian Girls' releases so far. They're a little quirky, but if you can have respect for a group and a vocalist who can pull off meshing five languages seamlessly from track to track, then give this album a listen.
DreamsDreams by The Whitest Boy Alive
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $9.35
(Same state) Though this release is slightly more contemplative and downtempo than the Postal Service, this album is still a true keeper.
Writer's BlockWriter's Block by Peter Bjorn and John
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $3.97
(Same state) Catchy and rhythmic with poetic moments of brilliance. i.e. "Your tongue is sharp, but I miss the taste of it." ("The Chills") Yes, clever, I know. They're very good and you may be familiar with the track "Young Folks."
Elephant ShellElephant Shell by Tokyo Police Club
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $4.03
(Same state) This is a great release with a similar Postal Service feel, though a little bit less electronic. Perfectly coherent and powerful 5-star album.
Places Like ThisPlaces Like This by Architecture in Helsinki
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $1.95
(Same region) Extremely quirky and one of those albums that takes a second to get used to after you've been lured in by some catchy tune like "Heart It Races". Great album, though again more experimental than the Postal Service.
SubstanceSubstance by New Order
Buy new: $22.99 / Used from: $1.99
(Same region) And where exactly do you think the Postal Service derived some of their inspiration from? The one, the only, the classic... New Order! =)
She Wants RevengeShe Wants Revenge by She Wants Revenge
Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $1.97
(Same hemisphere) Alright, so they're not really too much like the Postal Service other than a similarly addicting driving beat. They're really actually much darker, but deliciously so. This album is just so great I couldn't bear to leave it off the list. =)
Aha Shake HeartbreakAha Shake Heartbreak by Kings of Leon
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $3.92
(Same hemisphere) This is a great album, though far more rock than the Postal Service is. It's catchy though, try it. =)
Sunlight Makes Me ParanoidSunlight Makes Me Paranoid by Elefant
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $0.01
(Same country) Somewhat like the Postal Service though admittedly much more rock and down-tempo. If I say it's worth a listen though, you can trust is is.
Pretty Hate MachinePretty Hate Machine by Nine Inch Nails
Buy used from: $3.21
(Same hemisphere) Calm yourselves... I saw that surprised look. This album is old as dirt and NIN has become something entirely different from this album over the years, no doubt. You'll be surprised by the similarities between this album and "Give Up" if you give it a listen.
Businessmen & GhostsBusinessmen & Ghosts by Working for a Nuclear Free City
Buy new: $13.98 / Used from: $6.10
(Same region) More music, less lyrics, catchy. A sound release.
MemeMeme by Milosh
Buy used from: $6.98
(Same country) This is the stronger of Milosh's two releases, though the track "You Make Me Feel" on the identically named album is the strongest of all. Be warned though, beautiful as this album is, it verges on the edge of noisy and unrelated.
