Easily the best album I have ever listened to. I have never heard a song this long (approx. 42 minutes) with this many movements and melodic transistions. Truly a masterpiece in songwriting and playing. The closest album I'd call perfect.

So heavy, so talented, so good. This band consists of some of the most talented musicians to ever conceive a band, and this album for me represents everything they stand for.

Ahhh, bet you didn't expect to see Bon Jovi on this list, especially this album from them. Simply put, this is the most emotional album I have ever heard. The music is absolutely beautiful and the lyrics inspirational. Breath-taking.

A classic that belongs on everyone's list of favorite albums. This is an album that literally takes you away from reality and absorbs you into another dimension. A beautiful album.

An underdog in the Jethro Tull catelog. This one was released at the wrong time, as it is much heavier and more progressive than people realized. This has the band's most intricate playing which includes great breakdowns in the vein of King Crimson.

Some more Bon Jovi. Truth is, Bon Jovi is the band that got me into music, Slippery When Wet is the first album I ever bought, and since then my musical tastes have evolved. I loved their '90s era the best, and this is another truly phenomenal album of pure great rock and roll!

Easily my favorite band produced from the grunge era, and this album represents them at their strongest. While I also loved more of their experimental offerings (especially No Code) this album is just too strong to ignore and is on constant rotation on my iPod. Vedder is one of the great lyricists in modern music too.

Ya know, The Beatles are too good to be summed into words. If you don't know that this is a great album then there's no helping you. I rest my case.

Wow! I have never heard someone play the pedal lap steel guitar the way Randolph does. Their first studio album (Unclassified) was great, and on Colorblind they amp up their songwriting with great funk, soul, and rock that I thought was lost for years.

Even though I wasn't alive during 1974 (far from being alive actually) I try to imagine listening to older albums when they first came out. When I listened to this, especially on "Stone Cold Crazy", I simply asked myself, "How can this not be illegal?!" These guys are so ahead of their time it's frightening. Great production and diversity all around, an amazing album.

Bet you never heard of this guy. This is gypsy jazz at its finest, first originated by the great Django Reinhart. You may have heard this guy play for The Hellecasters, if your musical tastes stretch that far. He is a phenomenal player and the music here is so unique and strong.

I love broadway, and this is currently my favorite musical I've seen. The story is great, the music is fantastic, and the vocals are among the best I've heard, thanks to the great Idian Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth. Great emotional music.

Two words: Larry Carlton. His guitar solos on "Kid Charlemagne" and "Don't Take Me Alive" are worth the price of this album alone. The duo of Fagan and Becker produce great music.

Another great band from the grunge era. This is a classic alternative rock/metal album; great music and very deep lyrics courtesy of Chris Cornell. "My Wave" may be the best 5/4 jam I've ever heard.

Such a dark and edgy album from my favorite band, it's so hard to believe this was released in 1974. These guys were so ahead of their time, and this album shows it even when it was early on in their career. This album also includes the greatest song never heard: "The March of the Black Queen".
