My second favorite Gibson movie, next to the Road Warrior. I usually don't care for movies about ghosts or time travel. As little Beth once said to Lou Grant about NFL football, " I prefer real life". But this is an affecting tale, to me anyway.

Probably too classy to be on this list. Any Clint Eastwood nominee for Best Picture is obviously more than a chickflick. The scene with Streep in the car and Eastwood in the rain is very powerful.

Another Best Picture nominee that probably shouldn't really be considered just a chickflick. Audrey Hepburn won Best Actress.

A good HBO made-for-TV film boasting another strong performance by Sally Field.

One of only four good feature films with Mary Tyler Moore, my all-time favorite actress by far. The others are Flirting With Disaster, Finnegan Begin Again, and Ordinary People(which I thought was over-rated).

Maybe not really a chickflick, but it's about women athletes. Warning: lesbianism plays a role, but it's an interesting drama and one that I PROMISE guys with an eye for beauty will appreciate.

One of the all-time tearjerkers.

Keaton is good. Highlight is his video teaching his child how to make an impressive 'entrance' into a room.

An early film with one of my favorite current actors, Canadian Paul Gross, star of a great TV series called DUE SOUTH.
