![]() | Revolver [UK] by The Beatles
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $3.52 My favorite Beatles LP. The best balance between early rockin' Beatles and later "psychadelic" Beatles. Highlights are "Taxman", "Good Day Sunshine", and "Tomorrow Never Knows".
![]() | Rubber Soul (1990) by The Beatles
Buy new: $16.49 / Used from: $5.20 A close second to Revolver. For the same reasons: a good balance between early Beatles and later Beatles. '65-'66 my favorite period in the bands career. Highlights include "Norwegian Wood", "Nowhere Man", and "Drive My Car".
![]() | Past Masters, Vol. 2 by The Beatles
Buy used from: $2.04 Not an LP, but rather all of the Beatles' UK singles from '65 to '70. "Day Tripper", "We Can Work It Out", "Paperback Writer", "Hey Jude", "Revolution" just to name a few! They're all here!
![]() | The Beatles (The White Album) by The Beatles
Buy new: $29.99 / Used from: $8.41 A beautiful double LP. Such a variety of great music, and such diversity. "Back In The U.S.S.R.", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Rocky Raccoon", "Birthday", and "Revolution 9" highlight this masterpiece.
![]() | Abbey Road (1990) by The Beatles
Buy new: $16.99 / Used from: $4.49 The last LP the Beatles recorded is the favorite of many, and one of my favorites, too. "Come Together", "Something", "Here Comes The Sun", and "Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End" highlight this classic.
![]() | Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles
Buy new: $16.99 / Used from: $3.74 One of the classic LPs of all time, and for many the quintessential Beatles LP. "A Day In The Life", "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds", "Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite", and "When I'm Sixty Four" are highlights of perhaps the best known album The Beatles ever made.
![]() | Magical Mystery Tour (1990) by The Beatles
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $3.48 Perhaps the most "psychadelic" of all Beatles' LPs, this one has some of my favorite songs. "I Am The Walrus", "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Fool On The Hill", and "All You Need Is Love" are amongst the best songs the Beatles ever recorded.
![]() | Beatles for Sale (1990) by The Beatles
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $3.48 A great example of the Beatles finding their own voice in late '64. A nice blend of Lennon/McCartney songs like "No Reply", "Eight Days A Week", and "I'll Follow The Sun" and classic covers like "Rock And Roll Music", "Kansas City", and "Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby".
![]() | Past Masters, Vol. 1 by The Beatles
Buy used from: $2.75 If you loved the early mop top Beatles (those boys that appeared on Ed Sullivan all those years ago) this is likely to be your favorite record. This is all of their UK singles and B-sides from '62 to early '65, and contains a majority of their biggest hits like "I Want To Hold Your Hand", "She Loves You", "From Me To You", "I Feel Fine", and "Love Me Do" just to name a few!
![]() | A Hard Day's Night
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $4.44 From the Beatles first feature film of the same name, this LP shows further growth similar to that on "Beatles For Sale". "Can't Buy Me Love", "You Can't Do That", "I'll Be Back", and of course the title track "A Hard Day's Night" are highlights.
![]() | Help! [UK] by The Beatles
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $3.84 From the Beatles second feature film. "Help!" feels a little bit rushed (perhaps they needed more time) and there are a few weak tracks, but it also has some of their best songs like "Ticket To Ride", "Yesterday", "Help!" and "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away".
![]() | With the Beatles (1990) by The Beatles
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $4.50 Great early rock 'n roll on this LP. "It Won't Be Long", "Roll Over Beethoven", "All My Loving", and "Money (That's What I Want) are some of the better songs on this record.
![]() | Please Please Me (1990) by The Beatles
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $4.55 The Beatles first LP in the UK. It ranks lower than most Beatles LPs for me, but I still love it and just about everything about this band. Like "With The Beatles" this album has great early Beatles rock 'n roll classics like "Twist And Shout", "I Saw Her Standing There", and their first #1 UK hit "Please Please Me".
![]() | Let It Be (1990) by The Beatles
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $4.94 A good album, but the weakest of the full LPs from the Beatles. Still, there are some great tracks on "Let It Be". "Across The Universe" is one of John's best songs ever, "Let It Be" is a classic from Paul, and "For You Blue" is a nice piece of bluesy rock from George.
![]() | Yellow Submarine (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) by The Beatles
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $2.98 At the very bottom of the list because the Beatles only gave us four new songs. The rest is incidental soundtrack music. However, the Beatles songs, though lacking in quantity, are fine songs. "All Together Now" is a jaunty Paul number and "Hey Bulldog" is great heavy rock from John, and George's "It's All Too Much" is a great piece of psychadelic rock.
