This book is hard to find since it is out of print, but it is my favorite biography of Marie Antoinette. The author's writing style is very fluid and he states the facts and lets the reader draw their own conclusions. The affair of the necklace is covered in great detail as well as Marie's imprisonment in the Conciergerie.

Norma Shearer and Tyrone Power have great chemistry in this film. It's a little "over the top" and campy, but enjoyable to watch. The costumes and sets are amazing!

I enjoyed watching this film. Hilary Swank performs the role of Jeanne de la Motte-Valois along with a great supporting cast, which includes: Adrien Brody, Jonathan Pryce, Simon Baker, and Joely Richardson (Marie Antoinette).
