American release of the film. Better quality print but some of the "darker" sequences have been edited out. Pity, they help give the film a more adult feel. It is also missing the wonderful theme song sung by Anita Mui. Watchable, though (if you can't get a copy of the original version).

American (and edited) version of Police Story 3: Supercop. Maggie Cheung reprises her role as the ever loyal (and very patient) girlfriend of Jackie Chan. Michelle Yeoh's performance here (few if any actresses have ever been able to go toe-to-toe with Jackie Chan!) basically earned her the roles in the Bond film, "Tomorrow Never Dies" and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".

This fine quality, period drama is not an action film like most of my other recommendations but it does reunite Michelle Yeoh and Maggie Cheung. Based on real people and events.

"Indiana Jones" style action film with Yeoh again kicking butt. It is a strong statement about her acting that such a petite lady is so believable doing this kind of action from almost the beginning of her career. She didn't start studying martial arts until she began her film work but she was a trained dancer before that.

Screw-ball comedy that is one of my favorite performances by Anita Mui. In it she plays a spoiled prince (yes, male!) as well as the ghost of one of his ancestors.

Fantasy with Maggie Cheung working with the wonderful director, Tsui Hark ("A Chinese Ghost story" and "Once Upon a Time in China" as well as the lesser but well known american films "Knock off" and "Double Team").

Released in America (and again, edited) as "Jet Li's The Enforcer", we see Anita Mui along with Damian Lau who played her husband in "The Heroic Trio" and "Executioners".

Damian Lau appears in this Michelle Yeoh film that is one of her most critically acclaimed.
