Quite simply one of the best films ever made, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE sweeps you up and carries you away on an epic romantic adventure while keeping you grounded in the harsh, beautiful world of India's slums. You will laugh and cry and cheer all at the same time for this victorious underdog of a film.

The resulting Narnia is darker and more foreboding than before, but also much more interesting than the naive place depicted in the book. The children have really improved in their roles.

Though this origin story takes a while to get going, when it does it is a lot of fun. The movie works because of star Robert Downy Jr.'s wonderfully unconventional lead-performance, and it sets up an interesting franchise with the twist ending.
