Through good and bad Al and Peggy show that love doesn't make a marriage, sticking around does. Every epsiode where they had a chance to leave, or grab a better spouse Al and Peggy always picked each other.

George was proof that even if a man didn't know how to be passioante and romantic, he could still show love. Weezy and George are proof for all time that love means accepting each others flaws.

Even as a child I was awed by the depth of Burns love and devotion to Allen. I don't which was more impressive, the longevity of Burns committment or that Allen could inspire such love.
