(C+) Watchable, but somehow lacking in the magic of the original, in spite of Brown's improved performance.

(C) Old exploitation pic about a dwarf with a harem of drugged out prostitutes. Odd. It claims to be the father of all Dwarfsploitation films, which I do not doubt. Also, seeing a dwarf have his way with a regular sized woman is indeed unsettling. Sorry little people.

(B) Intriguing French thriller is exactly like an American thriller. Good, though the conclusion is typically contrived.

(B-) Remake has surreal, neon-lit noir visuals. It's hardly flawless, but is surprisingly ambitious for such a film. However, Bijou Phillips keeps her clothes on, making one wonder why they hired her.

(B- for 1925) Enjoyable silent film with classic stop motion animation. It can lack energy at times, as these films sometimes do.

(B) Entertaining drama about a corrupt stoke brokerage. Has solid, if somewhat over the top, performances.

(C) Lewis's last film til the 00s. It's gross, goofy, inept. Ultimately watchable.

(C+) A gay take on "Shadow Over Innsmouther." Seriously. Sometimes remarkably well-shot and eerie, sometimes amateurish and always rather pieced together.

(B-) Some people hate it, but this is stylish looking zombie pic with nice gore and a relatively novel, if a bit odd, plot. It's no masterpiece, but you could do a lot worse.

(C) Standard issue 80s slasher. Uglier than most, though with some decent gore. I'm running out of enthusiasm for them.

(C+) Modestly entertaining Amicus pic with some fun performances. It's slow, though, and the production values are typically subpar compared to Hammer and others.

(B-) B&W French neo-noir is very stylish, though it takes some time to get going.

(A-) Famed WWI prison camp pic is one of the best films from the 30s. Performances are strong across the board, and the final third is quite moving at times.

(D) More boring, generic Asian horror. You usually get better from the Pangs, though.

(B+) A rare western/horror. A very atmospheric, beautiful film with some novel mythology.

(B-) Slasher throwback is a bit cheap looking at times, but it has a lot of gore and some actually likable characters.

(C) Techincally competent but wholly unremarkable "Straw Dogs" rehash.

(B-) Pretty much identical to the mediocre original but a bit slicker and less turgid, making it more enjoyable in spite of the identical plot.

(B-) Mix of stoner-comedy and buddy-pic tribute loses steam as it continues, but the performances are enjoyable, particularly Rogen.

(A-) Substantially more over the top than the outrageous original, and substantially more fun. A terrific watch.
