This is the first novel I read when I was really young. It was on my step-grandfather's book shelf, first thing I read when my parents got married.

Those of you who wonder about this book. I read this one to get an idea what I wanted to do as a writer. I read it when I was a kid, then I decided to get it again when I was twenty-one. This will answer a lot of questions where I got my ghost story delivery from, I wanted something that was accessible enough for a younger crowd but not forget an older crowd is reading too.

Inspired two stories I have, one got published in an anthology with Kevin Lucia and the other is in the process of being written. My magazine's sixth issue is going to have a nod to the diner in it. The new story I am writing too that is in the progress will have this book making a cameo in it. The character gets freaked out by it.

Norwood's Discovery has its roots in this one.
