Excellent pop up book! Chuck Murphy is super-talented.

Another very cool ribbon book, but about numbers. Very clever!

He wore this book out--and so many of his friends love it to death too. This is a sensational book. All books of this type have enormous appeal with the raised characters and the cut out holes in the pages. You can see this type of book with stars, monkeys, fish...pretty much anything, the common element are the holes in the pages and the raised plastic pieces.

I love this series. I think the Baby Signs book for parents is crap. The baby signs book is educational and children love looking at the baby faces. I would buy as many books in this series as I could. (My first, Mealtime, Signs for Animals)

This touch and feel series has a book about a duck, a puppy, a kitten and I forget the fourth. The photographs, the simple text and the opportunity to make animal sounds make this a very early favorite. I think at 12 months he was loving at a stage where photos, repitition and tactile books were big favorites.

Look for the little mouse with the banana on every page. I got this as a shower gift and I love it.

This was a book for the dinner table because of it's size. When they are having their language explosion, for some reason, kids seem to love this book.

This has been an enduring favorite in our home He likes stories about Mommy coming to the rescue. I'm fine with that. Like "Catch Me Catch Me" this is for a child about 18 months at least.

Not as common, not a core book, but I think the gentle familiar pace of getting dressed, going outside, what do you see and then the fun language "Crackle Rustle Crinkle and Crunch" make this a universally appealing book. Plus I like to talk about the changing seasons.

I love this story. I love to read it out loud. I might like it more than him. But he does like it. Also, we like "The Tale of the Two Bad Mice." Beatrix Potter was a talented naturalist and when he gets older I'll reintroduce her and her nature sketches.

This is as warm and charming as Autumn Walk and Goodnight Moon combined. A wonderful book. Garth Williams, the Little House on the Prairie illustrator, illustrated these books. Just great.

the books that are songs are fantastic and easy to read aloud. This one has fun cutouts on each page showing the animals getting progressively bigger in her stomach.

When I had my book baby shower and asked people to bring their child's favorite baby book, this was the overwhelming favorite. And when Brady was old enough to like it (over 12 months, can't remember, he was talking by then) he adored this book.

This one encourages lots of movement and silliness. Infectious, quotable, irresistable. I love all the "Raffi songs to read" series.

Great moveable flap board book. Excellent companion to "Freight Train" by same author.

I like this book because it's sturdy, has the great sesame street characters and includes text on every page for how to do the rhymes with your hands...great fun and a great shower gift.

Sturdy book, a good touch a feel book, great illustrations and this book takes it one step further, inviting the child to pat with face, cheek, feet, hands, etc. This is a book that will hold interest into age two when the other touch and feel books will not.

This one is for you too. My book is dog-eared. Esme is incredibly talented and good at what she does. The Trelease book and the Esme book complement each other.

The other Pat the Bunny inspired books by the same publisher do not approach the original in perfect execution of a great concept. The only downside is that if you give this as a gift, the new parents probably already got it from someone else.
