The sequel that's even more violent but less sexualized than it's predecessor.
I Spit On Your Grave (Millennium Edition)I Spit On Your Grave (Millennium Edition)
Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $8.31
I find this movie to be a classic exploitation. Explores sexual violence and revenge. Not for everyone to watch. I found the climax of the bathroom scene brief, maybe edited?
NightbreedNightbreed

A horror film that has you on the monsters' side.
Grindhouse Presents: Planet Terror - 2 DVD set W/Bonus DVD and Limited Edition Steel Book CaseGrindhouse Presents: Planet Terror - 2 DVD set W/Bonus DVD and Limited Edition Steel Book Case

I thought this was a very well done film. I want to point out the graphics are meant to be crappy since it pays homage to movies played in grindhouses.
Cannibal HolocaustCannibal Holocaust
Buy used from: $13.47
This movie was shocking.
Day of the Dead (Divimax Special Edition)Day of the Dead (Divimax Special Edition)

George A. Romero's Land of the Dead (Unrated Director's Cut)George A. Romero's Land of the Dead (Unrated Director's Cut)
Buy new: $12.98 / Used from: $1.31
I thought this was a good movie. The rated version is very gory but the unrated version is upped by tons of gore. I just didn't like the zombie evolution thing coming so quick.
George A. Romero's Diary of the DeadGeorge A. Romero's Diary of the Dead
Buy new: $12.99 / Used from: $1.75
I didn't like this. It was boring and I didn't feel the gore. If there is a unrated, it may be better.
The Hills Have EyesThe Hills Have Eyes
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $0.25
I like this and Michael Berryman. Screw the remake!
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2-Disc Ultimate Edition)The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2-Disc Ultimate Edition)

More gory than the remake rated or not. The unrated one is really gory.

AuditionAudition
Buy used from: $6.95
Japanese horror with a psychopathic girl dating a middle-age widower. The violent scenes are graphic and realistic.
The Last House on the LeftThe Last House on the Left
Buy used from: $3.67
Wes Craven at his first and best. This is like watching a snuff film.
Videodrome - Criterion CollectionVideodrome - Criterion Collection
Buy new: $31.49 / Used from: $18.99
A cult classic from David Cronenberg.
Re-AnimatorRe-Animator
Buy new: $12.99 / Used from: $10.55
A classic. Jeffery Combs was made an icon by the Herbert West character. Good lovecraftian-like story.
The Evil DeadThe Evil Dead
Buy new: $14.49 / Used from: $3.16
I love these movies. Bruce Campbell is an icon in horror. This one was the darkest and most graphic. The second was a bit of black comedy. Army of Darkness was a large departure and into a experimental fantasy horror. I rate the Army of Darkness as my favorite because it was more fun but Evil Dead is a classic.
The BeyondThe Beyond
Buy used from: $8.36
I like The Beyond for it's psychologically horrific story. It's one of Lucio Fulci's zombie films that have a story about the gates of hell. As always, Fulci films have graphic violence and the Beyond is graphically violent.
Suspiria (2-Disc Special Edition)Suspiria (2-Disc Special Edition)
Buy new: $14.49 / Used from: $12.22
This movie scared the crap out of me. Whether it had gore or not it's still scary. It's not pointless like alot of people and fans say, it's good vs. evil.
Bad TasteBad Taste
Buy used from: $8.85
Is it right to make violence and gore funny and not horrorifying? Of course(lol) Nah, the humor just keeps viewers.
Eaten AliveEaten Alive
Buy used from: $5.97
This is not Umberto Lenzi's Eaten Alive, it's Tobe Hooper's. I believe this is one of the first horror films with a crocodile. Similar plot to Lake Placid but way superior. Better than Lake Placid, Crocodile, and it's sequels put together.
Blood Diner [VHS]Blood Diner [VHS]
Buy used from: $22.95
A tribute remake to Herschell Gordon Lewis' Blood Feast. Similar plot but totally different settings and characters. Very gory and disturbing but funny at times being a splatstick comedy.
Grindhouse Presents, Death Proof - Extended and Unrated (Two-Disc Special Edition)Grindhouse Presents, Death Proof - Extended and Unrated (Two-Disc Special Edition)
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $2.64
I wasn't crazy about Death Proof. Not many death scenes for a long movie. I do like the Stuntman Mike character. Stuntman Mike uses his car to kill woman at high speeds. This seems to pay homage to exploitation films depicting car accidents causing arousal.
Two Thousand ManiacsTwo Thousand Maniacs
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $4.77
This movie is a classic. The title literally is accurate. The story is about a 1965 southern town luring northerners in to kill them for revenge about the civil war. I liked the twist in the ending. Herschell Gordon Lewis is a genius!
Don't Look in the BasementDon't Look in the Basement
Buy new: $7.98 / Used from: $1.74
I just watched this. It didn't scare or disturb me, it just had a emotional impact on me. It makes me sympathize for those people feeling as if I were losing my mind. The story's Sam, a sensitive man who has an IQ of an eight year old makes viewers feel bad for him. I felt like I was going to cry at the end feeling bad.
The Thing - Collector's EditionThe Thing - Collector's Edition
Buy used from: $3.42
This is one of my favorite movies and I forgot to add it. Silly me.
The FunhouseThe Funhouse
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $5.35
A fun movie from Hooper. Odd to be a video nasty.
MadmanMadman
Buy used from: $32.69
This caught my attention after hearing this has Gaylen Ross from Dawn of the Dead(1978). This slasher film is similar to Friday the 13th. The gore is not frequent but up-close with deep scratching, decapitations, back-breaking, throat cutting, and anything else Friday the 13th but slightly better. A creepy movie and remember not to say "Madman Marz" on a whisper.
The Incredible Melting Man [VHS]The Incredible Melting Man [VHS]
Buy used from: $15.25
I remember seeing this splat movie a long time ago. An astronaut returns to earth infected with a flesh-eating alien virus and cannibalizes people to slow the progression. Bad acting and cheesy but funny. Alot of gore but not much like splatters from Lewis, Jackson, and Fulci. I like the film and it's not bad.
ZombieZombie
Buy new: $15.99 / Used from: $7.47
I was excited to see this and I loved it. Plot is the zombie island scenario thing that appears in many zombie movies. Personally, I like The Beyond better because I think Fulci is at his best at his more dream/nightmare inspired work. Ignore me on that because this movie is a cult classic.
House By the Cemetery : Widescreen EditionHouse By the Cemetery : Widescreen Edition
Buy used from: $6.25
Not as good as Zombie and The Beyond but still a good movie. Combines supernatural, psychological, zombie, and slasher horror. Like City of the Living Dead and The Beyond, said to be a gate of hell movie but there's no gate really(lol). Anyways, still a classic.
The Toxic AvengerThe Toxic Avenger
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $10.37
The cult splatstick comedy from Lloyd Kaufman and Troma. A very silly and gory movie about good vs. evil. A mentally challenged-bullied man is exposed to toxic waste turning him into the Toxic Avenger. A movie with gross moments of arm-ripping, headcrushing, and eye-poking. Not for the faint of heart.
