A good reminder that though gays in the West still have a long way to go in terms of obtaining full human rights, there are places in the world that are far worse. Only complaint on this film is that it should have been longer. Also, see 'I Exist' about Muslim gays in America.

This movie caused quite the ruckus in its day, and the two actors claimed it ruined their careers. It was one of the first movies to portray a sympathetic portrait of a gay married man and to show that not all gays ended up unhappy. Kate Jackson deserves a debt of gratitude from gays for playing a wife who eventually tries to be understanding about what is happening to her marriage.

Finally, for something completely different, a gay horror B-movie, which is a bit of a schlock-fest. If you take it in terms of that 1950's B-movie genre, albeit with nudity and hot sex, it works. Besides, Matthew Montgomery looks pretty good unclothed.
