The best. My all time #1!!

Irene Dunne is the kind of mother we all aspire to be -- unselfish and caring. This early portrayal by Barbara Bel Geddes is in my "top five."

Bette Midler is a genius. The music combined with the story of women and the trials of a lifetime friendship works beautifully.

Danny Kaye is the most gifted individual ever on the movie screen. Prepare yourself, it's a side-splitter.

Survival amidst poverty set in the early 20th century America is beautifully depicted.

Sidney Poitier is incredible in this film. Shelley Winters is powerful as the selfish mom. Race issues are addressed in a gracious manner.

This had some questionable parts, but it makes me want to go to Tuscany.

The story of Jane Froman is beautifully acted in the drama.

When you have Jimmy Stewart and June Allison in a music movie -- what can be better?

We all know that Gene Kelly is a dancing legend, but Donald O'Connor is a dancing genius in thie debut of Debbie Reynolds.

The dramatic version is terrific.

This drama forced Americans to face the deplorable conditions in mental institutions in the late 40's. Olivia de Havilland is superb.

As I teenager I didn't like this. However, as I grew to be an adult, the complexities of the story hit home. Katherine Hepburn is always terrific, and Burt Lancaster is at his best.

This epic has wonderful spiritual message. Charleton Heston is his usual terrific self.
