	Heaven Knows Mr. Allison Buy new: $12.99 / Used from: $6.99 Soldier Robert Mitchum's second(if memory serves) singing of 'Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree with Anyone Else But Me'. It has elation mixed with bittersweet irony and pathos.
	Inside Moves [VHS] Buy used from: $2.25 The bar patrons' Christmas Eve dancing to the juke box Sinatra song 'Put Your Dreams Away'. It has echoes of the bar patrons in the great Eugene O'Neill play 'The Iceman Cometh'.
	Thousand Clowns / Movie [VHS] Buy used from: $23.99 The Jason Robards ukelele song interlude mid-film. It's very winning and makes you want to go to New York.
	To Have and Have Not (Snap case) Buy used from: $4.97 Lauren Bacall's jaunty exit at the end.(Oops, I guess you know she doesn't die now....but no harm done). Totally unexpected and refreshing.

	Casablanca Buy used from: $4.75 Dooley Wilson's piano bar rendition of 'As Time Goes By'. I don't really like the song all that much, but it earns our affection largely because of our affection for the film.
	Marjorie Morningstar Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $6.75 Gene Kelly's singing of the Oscar-nominated song 'A Very Precious Love' given extra depth of feeling at the end because of the circumstances.
	It's a Gift [VHS] Buy used from: $5.33 Fields sings in the park with some vagabonds. Despite the poor singing, the hearty enjoyment of Fields' character Bissonet is palpable and wins our affection. As he does when he mutters 'I really had my heart set on the orange grove'.
	A Touch of Class Buy new: $5.79 / Used from: $4.50 George Segal and Glenda Jackson singing at the piano.
	The Man From Snowy River Buy new: $10.49 / Used from: $6.57 Jessica practising the piano before and after her encounter with Tom.
