![]() | The Girl Who Knew Too Much DVD Authentic Region 1 Starring John Saxon Leticia Roman & Valentina Cortese
Buy used from: $11.22 Mario Bava, 1963. Debatably the original giallo filmed. This film triggers the transition from a pure mystery film by adding a few of the elements which would later become staples of the giallo genre.

![]() | Blood & Black Lace
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $6.99 Mario Bava, 1964. Far more graphic, yet just as beautifully shot, as Bavas earlier work; this film paved the way for later directors of gialli, such as Argento and Fulci. This film introduced the black clad, leather gloved killer to the genre.

![]() | The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $4.99 Emilio Miraglia, 1971. Semi-giallo, semi-gothic horror, this film is thoroughly entertaining. While lacking a few of the staple elements of the giallo genre, the film makes up for it in perversity and nudity if you obtain an uncut print. Features a not to be missed striptease from a coffin by Erika Blanc.
|
![]() | Short Night of Glass Dolls
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $5.99 Aldo Lado, 1971. This film has the delightful twist of the paralyzed and presumed dead victim having to solve his own murder. Another fine Morricone soundtrack is present on this film.

![]() | NOT RATED - The Night Evelyn Came Out of The Grave Uncut DVD + The Red Queen Kills Seven Times Uncut DVD English Audio Limited Edition (7000 Units)
Buy used from: $79.95 Emilio Miraglia, 1972. The sequel to The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave is lesser known but more true to the rules of the giallo. Focusing less on sadomasochism and more on a mysterious killer, the sequel is actually a better example of the giallo sub-genre.
|
![]() | Deep Red
