Leon was the Man in the late '60s/early '70s, leading Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs band, George Harrison's Bangla Desh band, etc. He was very influential to both Eric Clapton and Willie Nelson.

OK, Freddie King was from Texas. But on this CD, his backup band are all great Tulsa artists, including Leon. And Freddie played in Oklahoma so often in the '70s that I'm making him an honorary Okie.
