Buy new: $17.79 / Used from: $5.51 Fantastic book, very thought-provoking. Kingsolver advocates for local food, farmer's markets, and growing your own food without being preachy. She tells the story of a year in the life of her family on their small farm. Nostalgic, funny, endearing. I really enjoyed getting to know the author and her family though this book. Highly recommeded.

It's a fascinating story, with great characters, and I find it hard to put down. I'm re-reading the first 5 books in this series in order to catch up and finish off the last two installments I have not read yet.

Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $1.67 Third book in the Tomorrow series. This is a very intense book. I found it much darker and more frightening than the first two. The action escalates and the characters are under incredible pressure to both help the war effort and keep themselves alive. Another great book from Marsden.

Just as in the last book, this one is quite dark and deals with a lot of difficult issues. This series makes me grateful that I have never had to live through a war in my own country.
