GOJIRA seems to start every one of my lists. This is because it is not only a masterpiece unto itself but it began both the Kaiju eiga and the larger catagory of Tokusatsu pictures. GOJIRA is dark, moving and beautiful. The nightmare of the nuclear age is given flesh.

There's really nothing quite like TETSUO. A nightmare of flesh and steel, this film is important for it's incredible visceral experience.

One of the most bizarre experiments in Kaiju, FRANKENSTEIN Vs. BARAGON is disturbing and a whole lot of fun. Unjustly underrated most likely due toit's bizarre nature, I highly recommend it.

These are just great movies, pure and simple. The first is the best, of course, but all are great kaiju dramas.

Hopefully this isn't the dubbed version. ZEIRAM (that's how it's really spelled) is a lot of fun, but most importantly has one of the most memorable monsters I can think of...the title character, Zeiram! He's a large pitch black creature with a porcelain white doll face on his head that contracts and extends--just see it for yourself...

All three of these films are woderful kaiju epics. Instant classics, they are some of the most entertaining Tokus around.
