The commentaries on these DVDs are five stars in and of themselves - with everyone from the creator to the writers to post production and many of the actors/actresses!

I discovered Wings in 7th grade. Since then, the characters who work at the Nantucket airport have become like family to me. They're a loveable group with relatable reactions to life and an admirable sense of humor. These first seasons also include some truly emotionally touching moments (see "Mother Wore Stripes" and the rarely aired "Terminal Christmas").

I couldn't believe my roommates didn't know the names of this diverse group of taxi drivers at the Sunshine Cab Company. From the menacing Louie to good natured Alex to the hilarious pothead Iggy, this bunch of co-workers share in a variety of nutty adventures.

Another show I find it hard to believe that younger people haven't seen. MTM isn't strictly some old school sitcom about the new professional woman - it can be watched simply as an workplace/life sitcom with a woman at it's center.

I'll use the second season here to say that I wish I could include "Newhart", Bob Newhart's second sitcom, to the list. Newhart followed the adventures of Dick Louder and his extremely quarky crew at a Vermont Inn. As a middle-schooler, I guess I found "Newhart's" humor more accessible than "Bob Newhart". When it comes to DVD oneday, check it out - classic workplace zaniness.

The modern workplace
