The absolute best of the many renditions of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", with Alistair Sim as the perfect Scrooge. The cast is top-notch with Michael Hordern as Jacob Marley. Scrooge is a difficult character to play and not come off as either a caricature or as a monster, when he was neither.

1934 Oliver Hardy and Stan Laurel, black and white, musical. It's some of the best antics of Laurel and Hardy, showing why they became stars in silent films, and remained so with talking films.
It's A Wonderful Life (Two-Disc Collector's Set) (B/W & Color)It's A Wonderful Life (Two-Disc Collector's Set) (B/W & Color)
Buy new: $17.49 / Used from: $11.16
I don't particularly like this story, but it's a Christmas favorite by most people so I include it. The thing that bothers me about the film is how weak everyone else is, except George Bailey.
