![]() | Band on the Run by Paul McCartney & Wings
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $9.43 1973. Still Paul's best with lots of help from Denny Laine. One of those rare I love every song on it kinda albums. This is smart, bold music by the 'Thinking Man's Solo Beatle.' My favs - "Jet" and "No Words

![]() | Flaming Pie by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $1.71 1997. Written towards the end of Linda's battle with breast cancer and therefore very sad at times. The closest Paul came to a perfect album since Band on the Run. Highlights include "Calico Skies" and Beautiful Night.

![]() | Back to the Egg by Paul McCartney
Buy used from: $7.94 1979. A very underrated, rocking album by the heaviest rocker in The Beatles (check out the Rockestra band line-up.) My favorite song on it is the not so rocking and beautiful, "Winter Rose/Love Awake.

![]() | McCartney by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $4.99 1970. "Maybe I'm Amazed" and "Every Night" alone make this worth the price of admission. Paul's not so simple solo debut.

![]() | Tripping the Live Fantastic by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $26.99 / Used from: $4.09 1990. Taken from the 1989-90 tour and the best of his many live albums. This double CD has an insane number of hits spanning The Beatles, Wings and solo years. Nice version of "Things we Said Today" and the "Golden Slumbers" medley.

![]() | Red Rose Speedway by Paul McCartney
Buy used from: $5.91 1973. The first McCartney album I ever bought. Ever since "Abbey Road" and up to and including "Memory Almost Full", Paul has often closed out an album with a huge song or medley of songs. The closing medley on Red Rose Speedway is great stuff.

![]() | Chaos and Creation in the Backyard by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $1.02 2005. Like McCartney I & II, Paul plays about every instrument on every track. His piano is up front throughout the album and "Anyway" features his greatest piano hook since "Let it Be.
|
![]() | Venus and Mars by Paul McCartney
Buy used from: $5.24 1975. I always loved this album's rocking beginning (Venus and Mars/Rock Show) and the ending (Treat Her Gently/Lonely Old People.) And in between is a lot of well thought out and inventive music.

![]() | Wild Life by Paul McCartney
1972. Get past "Bip-bop" and this album has a lot going for it, especially "Some People Never Know" and "Tomorrow.

![]() | Driving Rain by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $1.04 2001. Amazing vocals on "Lonely Road" and the title track. The instrumental, "Heather" is one of my favorite Paul songs though I doubt he'll ever play it live ;o)
