	Miracle in the Wilderness [VHS] Buy used from: $58.99 Wife of pioneer settler Kris explains Christianity to their Blackfoot captors, rekindling husband Kris in the process. Dramatic and poetic adventure. Kristofferson's best film ...and I've seen every one. Got every album too! Tops my list of INSPIRATIONAL FILMS.
	Evelyn Buy used from: $2.20 Tops my list of THE FEW FILMS I'VE LIKED FROM THIS MILLENIUM. Starts as little human interest film but builds to something more cosmic. Directed by Bruce Beresford(Driving Miss Daisy,Tender Mercies, King David,Gallipoli, etc).
	Farewell, My Lovely Buy used from: $89.90 Mitchum was just as good a Marlowe as was Bogart. Excellent script, good scenes and lines. You'll never forget Moose and his Velma. Watch for Stallone in a bit part just before hitting it big with ROCKY.
	The Yakuza Buy new: $5.79 / Used from: $9.83 Another from Mitchum's resurgence in the 70's. Mitchum vs. the Japanese mafia.
	Hombre Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $5.03 Newman's hottest decade was the 60's, but westerns were past their peak. BUT this socially-conscious film was AHEAD of its time, not behind it. Richard Boone good villain. Good role and perfomance by Diane Cilento (Sean Connery's ex).
	Havana Buy used from: $2.75 A more modern-day Casablanca. Maybe even Redford's best film. Now THERE'S a surprising statement! Set in Cuba during Castro's revolution.
	Robin and Marian Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $7.65 and AUDREY HEPBURN. I'm amazed that so few people I talk to know about this one. Fictional tale of the reunion of Robin Hood with Marion in their later years. Exciting climax. Didn't like the ending though I admit it's poetic and romantic.
	The Presidio Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $1.45 More for Connery's performance than the film itself, which was still interesting.
	All the Pretty Horses Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $0.99 MATT DAMON fans probably don't pay much attention to westerns, but this is an appealing sad tale of faith, integrity and endurance, well directed by Billy Bob Thornton.
	The Road Warrior Buy new: $5.79 / Used from: $1.98 Maybe it got more attention in the USA than in Canada. 2nd of Mad Max series. First 20 mins resemble punkerkidflick and I almost left, but stayed to find my all-time fave action movie.
	The Year of Living Dangerously Buy new: $5.79 / Used from: $4.89 Another I'm surprised more people aren't familiar with. One of the films that lifted Gibson to stardom and an Oscar for Linda Hunt. Challenges us with scripture, Matt 3:10."And the disciples asked him,'What then shall we do?'
	Six of a Kind [VHS] Buy used from: $3.80 W.C. FIELDS with GEORGE BURNS&GRACIE ALLEN. Fields shines in his classic billiards routine. A chance to see Burns and Allen in an amusing comedy.
	Adventures of Don Juan Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $6.49 A minor but entertaining film with one of my favorite stars.
	Love Letters Buy used from: $44.90 Interesting chickflick with a balanced perspective on its characters.
	A Big Hand for the Little Lady Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $5.96 And JOANNE WOODWARD. VERY entertaining suspense film, a western with twists.
	Bedtime Story Buy used from: $30.60 Brando known for dramatic roles which made him America's most admired actor. But he was funny in this film which inspired the later inferior remake DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS.
	Night Moves Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $10.00 Interesting private eye film from director Arthur Penn.
	Kiss Me Goodbye Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $4.08 I thought Sally Field deserved another Oscar nom for this, but it's not the type of movie(romantic comedy/drama) that often garners them.
	Cooler Climate [VHS] Buy used from: $17.95 SALLY FIELD. Another good performance by Sally.
	F.I.S.T. Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $2.55 Look beyond the ROCKY and RAMBO movies and there are a few other noteworthy items in Sly's filmography. Good performance here in a film derived from the Jimmy Hoffa story.
	Victory Buy new: $5.79 / Used from: $1.23 On my Listmania: BEST DARN SPORTS MOVIES, PERIOD. About a soccer team of P.O.W's. Good cast, directed by legendary JOHN HUSTON.
	Cop Land Buy used from: $2.38 Sly got good reviews (as did the movie)for this role as a contemporary aging small town sheriff with a big challenge.
	Paradise Alley Buy used from: $19.00 STALLONE. Ignored for two reasons: too derivative of ROCKY and it's about wrestling. But not bad, actually.
	Finnegan Begin Again [VHS] Buy used from: $25.00 My fave actress, despite regular terrific performances on TV, only made 3 good movies. This one is about discovering love late in life. Good stuff.
	Flirting With Disaster (Collector's Edition) Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $3.36 MARY TYLER MOORE. Very amusing comedy and she's good in it.
	Just Between Friends Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $3.96 Decent movie shortly after she left TV.
	Interiors Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $3.29 WOODY ALLEN/DIANE KEATON. Woody's only film which is totally a drama, not a smile in sight. Good psychodrama with strong performances.
	Disappearance of Aimee [VHS] Buy used from: $94.00 Interesting biography of Canadian-born evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson. Yikes! Big bucks!! (Watch for it on TV ??)
	Eva Peron Buy new: $26.99 / Used from: $15.99 Haven't seen this. Borrowed the pic to rep the interesting mini-series EVITA PERON with perhaps my favorite dramatic actress FAYE DUNAWAY.
	The Silent Partner Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $4.57 Big star of the 70's. Made in Canada, so not sure how much attention it got in USA but this was a grabber suspense film.
	Bowfinger Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $1.40 EDDIE MURPHY deserved a Supporting Actor Oscar nom for this, but didn't get it. Comedy for comedy's sake rarely gets Academy attention. See COMEDY PERFORMANCES FOR THE TIME CAPSULE(MEN)
	To Die For Buy new: $11.49 / Used from: $4.39 Probably ranks among the 10 best comedic performances by a woman.See my LISTMANIA: COMEDY PERFORMANCES FOR THE TIME CAPSULE(WOMEN)
	Love Among the Ruins One of Kate's last films, didn't get much attention as a made-for-TV British effort. Good courtroom drama/love story for seniors.
	Irreconcilable Differences (The Lost Collection) Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $8.56 SHELLEY LONG. Like MTM, despite great work on the 1st five years of TV's CHEERS, this is the only film which showed her fine comedic and dramatic skills.
	Comic [VHS] Buy used from: $40.00 DICK VAN DYKE role, inspired by the life story of the great silent film comic Buster Keaton. Only Van Dyke's comparable skills could carry this off.
	Divorce American Style Buy used from: $11.49 Like Shelley Long, Van Dyke really only made one movie which uses the comic/dramatic talent on display in his TV series.
