Two FBI agents investigate the odd little cases that fall between the cracks and get more than they ever bargained for. The show fell off somewhat at the end and never gave it's audience full closer. Still from 1993 to 2002 it was often the best thing on, though I'd stick with the first 5 or 6 seasons. Aired on FOX.

The classic that never was, "Firefly" ran on FOX for less than one season in 2002 but was so popular after cancelation that it spawned a feature movie. "Firefly" told the tale of a small group of space cargo pirates who found themselves with a very unusual cargo that could get them all killed.

"Farscape" could have been easily called the remake of Buck Rodgers. The plots are similar, a U.S. astronaut is pulled from home and lost in space. His new universe is filled with aliens, a living ship, and some evil dude name Scorpious. Ran from 1999 to 2003 on the Sci-Fi channel.

The second season was a let down but the first is still some of the best sci-fi out there. The year is 2009 and the U.S. is slowing regressing into a third world country. Enter Max Guevara who is engineered to fight, kill, and take no prisoners. Only Max escapes that life before her programming is complete.

This long running BBC comic classic which ran from 1988 to 1999 told the tale of a minning ship lost in space and crewed by its last survior.

This "Twilight Zone" clone distinguished itself by being edger than "zone" and offen more scary. Ran on ABC from 1963 to 1965.

Illegal aliens are not only crossing the border, they're entering the atmosphere. Now what to do with all of them. A farily good series based on the movie of the same name. It ran on FOX from 1989 to 1990.
