This is the first Mrs. Murphy mystery, in which author Rita Mae Brown pits the wiles of a grey tabby (Mrs. Murphy) and a Welsh corgi (Tucker) against the villains in this story that takes place in Crozet, Virginia. I must say I've enjoyed all of these books for their cleverness and local color.

This is the first book in Rita Mae Brown's Foxhunting series, starring Master of Foxhounds, Sister Jane Arnold, and the Jefferson Hunt. If you don't know anything about foxhunting before you start this series, you certainly will when you've finished reading them!

This book talks about the black neighborhood of Vinegar Hill in Charlottesville, and how it disappeared.
