For 5 years this western comedy/drama series was a hit, especially the 3 seasons with James Garner as Brother Bret. No doubt this had a formative effect on me as a kid. Still love the theme song too. These are just sample episodes.

Racetrack and casino scenes very lifelike. Buddy movie with Elliott Gould (at his best), with George Segal. One Amazon reviewer says that this DVD keeps the sometimes deleted piccolo player scene, which is a hoot! There are a couple of OTHER ugly scenes I wish WERE deleted.

Some atmospheric card saloon scenes along with a relevant Leonard Cohen soundtrack. Like CALIFORNIA SPLIT above, directed by Robert Altman.

One of the films which made Caan a star. The spellbinding classical theme(by Mahler) adds to the film's power.

I didn't find this movie very interesting and I thought Newman and Redford's talents didn't really shine here. But it sure did well at the box office and was nominated for Best Picture. Good soundtrack.

In the episode THE DIPLOMAT CLUB, Kramer lapses into his formerly addictive gambling compulsion. Amusing, as most Seinfeld episodes are.

A French film about a gambler. I haven't seen it yet, but intend to. Critics gave it good reviews.

Directed by dramatic playwright David Mamet. Received pretty well by the critics. I was a little disappointed by it, but can't remember it very well now. It's been a while.

Main focus is the addictive nature of sports betting. Good cast. I haven't seen it yet, so check out the Amazon reviews for yourself.
