David Lynch distributed this last film himself, when he couldn't find a distributor for it. It's another fascinating film. Check it out. He shot it on his own, over four years. David Lynch remains unique -- one of the very few willing to follow his own muse. Disc 2 has great behind-the-scenes stuff, including David Lynch repeatedly dropping the F-bomb. (Hey, he's human.)

His first film, shot over four years while he lived in a self-made shack and delivered the Wall Street Journal (the only job he ever had). This is a masterpiece. Unique, uncompromising, just indescribable. It must be experienced. Stanley Kubrick and Charles Bukowski's favorite film, by the way.

Contains some beautiful visuals, even if David Lynch himself hates it. A painful memory, no doubt.

This is David Lynch in exploitation film territory. It's underrated. Nicholas Cage is great in it. Memorable. It got panned by American critics, after winning the Palm D'or in Cannes.

The first season is still my favorite.

This is really everything. Worth having.

At long last. A film that did not get a fair shake. Panned by blockhead American critics, most annoyingly Siskel and Ebert.

Sexy. Strange. Just Great. Fantastic performances. Put Naomi Watts on the map. Timing is important in the arts too. And this just hit at the perfect time, following 9/11, when many felt an odd disorientation not unlike the amnesiac in the film.

Worth owning. Very interesting early stuff, "The Alphabet," the grandmother film, his first installation. Proof of his determination to follow his own muse.

David Lynch only contributed toward the completion of this film; he did not direct it.

Music is hugely important to David Lynch. This is weird but interesting.
